Dr. Ricardo Rodríguez Jorge was my Data Analysis and Visualization teacher. The course presents the information needed for an introductory yet comprehensive evaluation of data, with emphasis on learning to visualize data in practical ways. An integral part of the course is applying the theory to real data using software tools (R, MATLAB).

All lessons were face-to-face during the whole semester and my teacher helped me a lot. The assignments he gave and the files he uploaded were very useful.

I already knew some of the basics, and it was a nice and enjoyable period for me when I got the exercises right. I want to say “thank you for your kindness, understanding and support in all matters”.

During my Erasmus exchange in Ústí nad Labem, I had the chance to learn from an expert in data mining, Dr. Ricardo Rodríguez Jorge, who taught the course Data Mining Techniques based on R Software in English.

Throughout the course, Professor Rodríguez showed a deep understanding of the subject and was great at explaining complex ideas simply. He combined lectures, hands-on projects and discussions to keep the class interesting and help us understand the material. Beyond his teaching skills, he was very approachable and always ready to give extra help. He encouraged us to ask questions, gave helpful feedback on our assignments and created a positive class environment.

I really enjoyed the course and would love to attend another one or collaborate with the professor in the future.

Dr. Ricardo Rodríguez Jorge was my teacher for Algorithms and Programming I, where I learned the basics of algorithms and programming. The lessons were face-to-face every Thursday, and Mr. Rodríguez took the time to teach me and helped me a great deal. I already knew some things, so when I solved the exercises correctly we moved straight on to the next topic and I never got bored.

Dr. Ricardo Rodríguez Jorge has been my thesis advisor for a year. He has explained to me topics I did not know so that I could carry out my research project. Dr. Ricardo has been very kind and patient in teaching me difficult subjects, and he even let me attend the master’s classes he teaches to strengthen my knowledge. As a thesis supervisor, he has always been available to review my thesis, open to different ideas and suggestions, and willing to analyse whether changes improve the thesis.

In general, it is a pleasure to work with him. He is always willing to teach and help his students.

Dr. Ricardo Rodríguez Jorge was my thesis advisor for a year. He is extremely kind, respectful, tolerant, responsible and very intelligent. Thanks to him, I was able to finish my thesis despite my demanding work and school schedules. Because of the complexity of my thesis, questions always arose, but he was always available to explain things again and again until they were clear to me.

He helped me find a thesis topic and develop it, and he lent me equipment to run tests and record data so that I could carry out my project without buying the material. I am very proud to say that my thesis was very interesting and challenging to analyse. It was a great project that can be applied to prediction and thus help save lives.
